THE VISION FOR HAWKHURST PARISH
By 2038 Hawkhurst will become an even better place to live, work and visit.
The Parish will protect and enhance its rural character within the High Weald National Landscape, maintaining the distinctive identity and separation of its individual settlements and preserving its built heritage
New development will be high quality, sustainable, well-connected and at an appropriate scale. Moving around the Parish (and to neighbouring towns and villages) will be an easier and more comfortable experience for all residents.
The economic, environmental and social vitality of the Parish will be cultivated to provide an improved quality of life for the whole community.
Be aware also, that Hawkhurst Parish Council (or indeed any other public authority) does not have the sole power, to make this Vision a reality. It will only be achieved if all public authorities work purposefully together, and in partnership with the Hawkhurst community.
